Alignment Between Knowledge Management Strategies And Human Resource Management Strategies In Various Technological Conditions

Abstract:

Organizations have to coordinate their different strategies in order to become efficient. Two strategies that need to be aligned are knowledge management and human resource management. The purpose of this study is to examine the alignment of knowledge management and human resource management strategies in diverse technological conditions. The statistical population of the study include of 51 manager experts in 17 companies and organizations using different technologies (advanced and non-routine versus repetitive and routine) who were selected on a purposive sampling bases. The main variables of research are knowledge management strategies as independent, human resource management as dependent and the type of technology as moderating variables. We used a questionnaire to collect data that was analyzed by Pearson  correlation coefficient statistics. The research aimed at examining contingency situation by fuzzy logic between the kind of technologies and strategies in knowledge management and human resource management processes of recruitment, selection, payment, learning and Etc. Finding show that the companies that use coding strategies of repetitive (simple) technologies, used to hire functional workers, trained to be in control, and have been paid based on their work results. The companies that used to recruit non-routine (improved) technologies, creative and team working staff with exploratory training, being evaluated and paid based on their performance and skills.
