The Effectiveness of Interaction Analysis Training on Dependency and marital intimacy of married employees

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of interactive behavior analysis training on Dependency and marital intimacy. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group. Of the married employees of Pars Ara Company, 30 individuals were selected randomly and were randomly divided into two experimental (n = 15) and control (n = 15) groups. Research questionnaires included Hirschfield et al.'s (1977) dependency and Walker and Thompson's (1983) marital intimacy. Interaction analysis training was given to the experimental group for 8 sessions but the control group received no training. The research data were collected and analyzed using covariance. The results of descriptive statistics showed a decrease in dependence and increased marital intimacy in the experimental group and analysis of covariance showed that there was a significant difference between experimental and control groups in Dependency and marital intimacy (p≤0.001). Interaction analysis training leads to decreasing dependency and increasing the marital intimacy of the effective married staff, so interactive behavior analysis can be used to improve Dependency and marital intimacy.
