The relationship between lifestyle and osteoporosis in women

Abstract:
Introduction

Research has shown that lifestyle components can be associated with human health and osteoporosis can endanger health, especially in women; Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between lifestyle and osteoporosis in women.

Methods

The research method is survey and the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The statistical population of the present study in the 17th and 4th districts of Tehran is 253,360, of which 382 samples were selected based on random sampling. Independent t-test, Human Whitney, Wilcoxon were used to analyze the data.

Results

Findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle and osteoporosis (p <0.001).

Conclusion

It seems that lifestyle should be given more importance during adolescence, especially female adolescents, because lifestyle changes during adolescence play an important preventive role in the development of osteoporosis in adulthood. Therefore, it is suggested that more research be done in this regard to increase the external credibility of the research.
