Abstract:

The current research was conducted with the aim of the relationship between personality structures based on the neo-approach and moral development with regard to the mediating role of emotion regulation. The research method is correlation. The statistical population was the students of Farhangian University of Kerman in the academic year of 1401-02. A sample of 350 people was randomly selected. Research tools were NEO-SF, Garnevsky's Emotional Regulation Questionnaire, and Lotfabadi's Moral Development Scale. Data analysis was done with SPSS-19 and AMOS software. The results of path analysis showed that the modified model by removing weak paths; It has a good fit. Also, the investigation of the mediating role showed that emotion regulation dimensions are a significant mediator between personality traits and moral development.
