The increasing rate of divorce in Iranian society, necessitate research on factors impacting marital adjustment and satisfaction. Religious attitude is one of those factors that is shown to influence marital relationship, decision-making, commitment and parenting style. The current study investigates the relationship between religious attitude and marital adjustment among married students of The University of Tehran. A sample of 165 married students were selected using simple random sampling method. Measures of Dyadic Adjustment Scale (Spanier, 1976) and Religious Attitude Scale (Khodayarifard et al., 2005) were used. Findings indicated a positive correlation between religious attitude and marital adjustment. Religious attitude was highly correlated with Dyadic Satisfaction subscale of adjustment. Based on results, family therapists are recommended to consider the role of religious or spiritual attitude of couples as an important factor in management and solving the marital conflict. Consistency and inconsistency of the results are discussed.
