Cultural Evolution: the Key for Imam Mahdy's Success

There are two views on the nature of Imam Mahdy's uprising:A) The view according to which this uprising is accompanied by mass massacre, bloodshed and panic. This image is inconsistent with the spirit of Islam, which is a religion of peace and kindness, its law is full of tolerance and indulgence, and its Prophet is the messenger of mercy.B) The view based on cultural evolution, according to which the key factor in Imam's success is the cultural activity done by Imam and his companions. Issues such as intellectual growth of the people in Imam's age of appearance, the nature of Imam's opponents, Imam's goals, Imam's duties, other Shii Imam's waiting for Imam Mahdy's uprising, killing leaders of corruption and perversion, Imam's tireless efforts and that of his companions and inter-religious discourse, are all supportive of this view.In view of Imam's rising as the Prophet's successor, aiming at expansion of Islam, his way of life being the same as Prophet's way of life and his devices of success being the same as the Prophet's devices of success, Imam Mahdy's rising begins with cultural evolution and spreads all over the world, just as the Prophet's movement began with a cultural evolution and spread everywhere. This paper has supported the second view through a research in religious sources. The research method is also descriptive and documentary.
