Psychometric Properties of Satisfaction with Life Scale

The research purpose is to assess the psychometric properties of Satisfaction with Life Scale; therefore, 400 university students (200 males and 200 females) were selected through multi-stage random sampling and tested by Satisfaction with Life Scale, happiness and depression. Results indicated that the internal consistency and the reliability of the scale equal to 85% and 77%, respectively. Factor analysis showed that satisfaction with life scale is a single-factor measure. Moreover, this test is considered reliable in measuring the satisfaction with life amongst students.
