Relationship between Adolescence Identity and Parent's Social Support

The study was aimed at investigating the role of parents’ social support on establishing adolescents’ identity; therefore, 100 individuals (50 males, 50 females) were selected through simple cluster sampling among from the highschoolers of Roudehen and were evaluated using the Adams & Benson parents’ Social Support questionnaires. Analyzing the data supports a significant relationship between parents’ social support and precocious identity; moreover, with regard to gender, it was perceived that female students derived more parents’ social support compared with male ones and maintained precocious identity by majority.
