The reasons for preference teaching to research by faculty members of Islamic Azad University (Sari Branch)

Abstract:
The aim of research was study the reasons for preference teaching to research by faculty members of Islamic Azad University، Sari Branch. The research method was descriptive، survey and statistical population included 162 faculty members of Islamic Azad University، Sari branch. Based on kerejcie and Morgan table، sample size was 113 people which were selected by using simple random sampling method. The data was gathered using the researcher made questionnaire and t test was used to analyze data. Reliability of questionnaire estimated through Cronbach Alpha coefficient (α=0. 75). The results showed extra and intra organizational barriers affected on teaching preference to researching by faculty members of Islamic Azad University Sari Branch، but individual factors had no effect. The most important barriers from faculty member's point of view were: no opportunities to study abroad، lack of searching culture and searching attitude in society، and teaching base of high educational system.
