Qualitative phenomenological study of divorced women aged 18 to 45 in Mashhad city (interview with foundation data approach)

This research deals with the qualitative phenomenological study of divorced women aged 18 to 45 in Mashhad.

The research was conducted with a qualitative approach, the grounded theory method, and the use of a paradigm model, and the data analysis was done using the basic coding method of Strauss and Corbin. The technique of data collection is a semi-structured in-depth interview that was done individually. The duration of each interview was between 1-2 hours. The number of interviews is 12, the number of concepts formed is 70, and the number of categories created is 7. Purposive sampling method was used to select interviewees..

 The results show that captivity and hatred in women is the consequence of the contradiction between reality and romantic fantasies that women have faced after marriage. The causes of such a situation in this research are family prejudices. Intervening conditions include the appearance of a professional man. In the field of romantic relationship (reciprocal action): Intimacy (becoming one) and love (one soul in two bodies) have been identified and the consequence of this romantic relationship and marriage based on it is the sense of captivity and slavery. It is shame and bad performance and finally, hatred that leads to divorce.

The conclusion of the researcher is to educate girls on the threshold of marriage, regarding emotional relationships (love), through various channels such as (mass and social media, schools, cultural centers) as preventive solutions against divorce has suggested.
